At The Log House People we specialise in sourcing and building the finest log houses on the planet and we are dedicated to improving the image of the log home within the United Kingdom. 

Currently, this type of construction is perceived as being reserved for garden sheds on steroids, second rate holiday accommodation and temporary buildings.  There is a belief that log cabins are low cost, low quality products that are not suited to the demands of permanent residential dwelling.

Contrary to this thinking, log houses offer an environmentally responsible alternative to current building technology and by using a mix of materials, we are able to create contemporary living spaces within a log shell. 

We have over 40 years experience in the industry and over this time have sourced our log houses from a number of countries including Scotland, Scandinavia and North America. 

We can offer a wide range of standard designs providing houses as permanent residences, second homes or holiday letting cabins.  As we work directly with the mills, we are able to customise these designs to better suit our clients’ requirements, whether it be changing the external dimensions to a redesign of the interior layout.  However, with our expertise in manufacturing, we are also able to create beautiful architecturally designed, bespoke log homes from Eastern White Pine,  Western Red Cedar, and now, American Oak.

Our expertise does not just lie in one off houses:  Over the years, we have created holiday sites of up to 80 houses, with ancillary buildings, riding school, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.  Although houses are the main focus of our work, we are happy to be involved in any project that requires log construction and can feature garages, sheds, kennels, stables and commercial buildings within our portfolio. 

In short, if you can imagine it in log, we can make it in log!
